Gary’s Notes from New HampshireMay 13, 2011Posted in Blog, Facebook, New Hampshire, Twitter
Wednesday was a big day in New Hampshire. It began in Laconia with an hour-long appearance on “The Advocates” with former state legislator Niel Young. Young and co-host Tom Brown asked great questions and treated Lake Region listeners to an hour of thought-provoking radio.
The next major stop was the annual open house at Costal Forest Products in Bedford, where owner Ted Severance treated guests to a feast of delicious Maine lobsters.
After a great afternoon talking business, lumber, public policy, carpentry, and lobster with the folks at Coastal, the team headed off to Dover for the Seacoast Liberty Meetup, where activists engaged with me in some truly fascinating dialogue about the challenges facing our country. The conversations lasted well into the evening, as great conversations often do!
Yesterday morning started off with another great hour of radio, this time heard all over the state on NHPR! My hour on “The Exchange” with Laura Knoy was really fantastic, and you can listen to it here!
The rest of the day included several stops at small businesses in Hooksett and Concord. Here I am at Robie’s Country Store in Hooksett, which has been a must-visit campaign stop for as long as anybody can remember.
