Another Great Granite State WeekendJune 29, 2011Posted in Blog, Facebook, Gov. Gary Johnson, New Hampshire, Twitter
Over the weekend, I enjoyed yet another fantastic visit to New Hampshire. It began with a drive up to Lancaster (which is not far from the Canadian border), where I spent two evenings meeting with state legislators and activists at the Free State Project’s Porcupine Freedom Festival. Here I am with New Hampshire State Representative Tammy Simmons.
Saturday morning was a beautiful day for a bike ride in the mountains, so it was really lucky that my staff had scheduled me to ride in the White Mountain Cycling Classic in Lincoln, an event benefiting New England Disabled Sports. I raced 43 miles in the 35+ category, and although I did not finish near the front of the pack, it was great exercise and great fun. Special thanks go to Goodale’s Bike Shop in Hooksett for their excellent bike rental service!
I’ve enjoyed my frequent appearances on New Hampshire radio shows, and Monday featured visits to two of my favorite studios. At 8 a.m. I stopped by WGIR in Manchester to chat with Jeff Chidester and Justin McIsaac on The Morning Show.
Then, at 11:30, I appeared on WTPL’s “Bulldog Live” show. Here I am telling host Brian Tilton about my +12 favorability rating in New Mexico.
Finally, I’m delighted to announce that my New Hampshire campaign headquarters is now officially open at 530 Chestnut St. in Manchester. Granite state voters have treated me wonderfully, and I left New Hampshire Tuesday morning feeling great about my chances of doing well in the first-in-the-nation primary!
